Blue Lagoon review with practical tips on timing, price, masks, drinks, transport, crowds, and what to expect at Iceland’s famous geothermal spa.

“We flew in from Manchester, landing in Iceland at 8:15 on a crisp Sunday morning. After picking up our car, we headed straight to the famous Blue Lagoon — and honestly, it was the best decision we could have made. Three blissful hours of soaking in the warm, milky-blue water melted away every trace of travel fatigue. The soothing heat was exactly what our tired bodies needed after the flight. ★★★★★★★★★★4.7 · 2,575 reviews · from $48

Explore Reykjavik’s Perlan Museum with an ice cave, volcano show, northern lights planetarium, interactive exhibits, and 360-degree views.

“Perlan is a super place to visit, walk up from the town and spend at least 4 hours there. The exhibits are superb with so much information and interactive displays. The staff are all very helpful and the aurora show in the main audiatorium was really worth it. Take your own snacks though.. Eye wateringly excessive prices in the restaurant but splash out for a coffee and sit and enjoy the revolving dome and the changing scenery of reykjavik and the surroundings. Lovely walks around the grounds of Perlan also.”
